The Willow company encompasses two retail shops - a Modern-Day Mercantile and a Home Goods & Furnishings Shop - and a Kitchen, Bath & Interior Design Studio and Showroom in Crested Butte, Colorado. 

 

Owner/Designer/Creative Force, Sally Hughes Johnson, started her first design business, Summit Design, in Crested Butte in 2000 and opened the first Willow shop in 2002.  After putting the retail shop in "hibernation" for 10 years to focus on raising her family, she reopened Willow in 2017 after the youngest chick flew the coop.  During those important family-focused years, she continued to provide interior design and decorating services to the clients that she and her husband served with their construction business, Summit Construction.  

 

With over 20 years of experience in the design/decorating/construction industry, Sally will help guide your project every step of the way from conceptual design to final punch list.  The process remains the same for the smallest decoration job to a full-service design project.  Every detail is accounted for so that you'll be able to enjoy the process without the overwhelm that inevitably comes with every type of home project regardless of the scope.  First, we'll define your style and functional use needs for your space.  Then, after documenting the space, you'll be presented with a conceptual design, floor plans and investment budget.  Next is ordering and execution.  Finally, it is time for install, finishing touches and punch list.  We ensure that all involved trades execute our design vision and act as your advocate all along the way.
